Total began production from Dalia Phase 1A, a new development on its deepwater Block 17 offshore Angola, the company said July 21.
The Dalia FPSO unit came onstream nine years ago, and with the addition of Phase 1A, Dalia will still produce 200Mbbl/d, said Arnaud Breuillac, president of E&P. Phase 1A will develop 51 MMbbl of reserves, contributing 30 Mbbl/d to the block’s overall production, the company added.
The project involved seven infill wells that were tied back to the Dalia FPSO.
France-based Total has explored and produced in Angola for more than 60 years. In early 2015, operated production surpassed 700Mboe/d.
