NCS Survey AS has been awarded a three-year contract with two one-year options with Statoil for the supply of rig positioning services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, NCS Survey said in a press release. The contract commenced on Jan. 1, 2013.
NCS Survey was established in November 2012 prior to the above award and is based in sister Acteon company IOS InterMoor’s facility in Dusavik near Stavanger, Norway, where an electronics workshop has already been established to support survey and positioning operations. The company will support subsea construction, seabed mapping and visualization, AUV activities, and rig positioning services, according to the press release.
