Amec Foster Wheeler has acquired Scopus Group (Holdings) Ltd., a laser scanning, dimensional control and lean engineering company whose survey data is used to engineer piping and structural solutions, a news release said.
Headquartered in Aberdeen, with bases in international oil and gas hubs, Scopus employs about 200 employees who provide specialist engineering services to the global oil and gas, petrochemical and nuclear industries. Scopus will continue to offer independent services, while building on Amec Foster Wheeler’s customer base, according to the release.
