Solar project developer Emeren Group Ltd. has entered into a co-development agreement with clean energy investors Glennmont Partners from Nuveen, Emeren announced March 15. The partnership will establish 155 megawatts (MW) of battery storage projects in Southern Italy.
Glennmont and Emeren will jointly develop two stand-alone battery storage projects in the Campania region of Southern Italy.
As part of the transaction, Glennmont and Emeren will co-develop a project portfolio in Campania and Puglia with a combined capacity exceeding 150 MW peak. Construction will begin late 2025 with operations beginning early 2027.
