Renato Bastos, who has been Strohm’s vice president in Brazil for the past three years, will head up the company's new Rio de Janeiro site.
COMPANIES
Strohm opened a new office in Rio de Janeiro and is establishing a center of excellence for engineering its thermoplastic composite pipe (TCP) technology as part of its growth strategy in South America. Once the operation ramps up in the coming years, there are also plans to establish a local TCP manufacturing capability to better support the clients in the region. Renato Bastos, who has been Strohm’s vice president in Brazil for the past three years, will head up the Rio de Janeiro site.
Diversified Energy Co. Plc completed its acquisition of Tanos Energy Holdings III LLC, continuing the company’s expansion in its central regional focus area that includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Read more here.
Santos Ltd. will take over Oil Search to help weather the energy transition better than if they remained separate companies, according to Reuters. After the acquisition, Santos would be Australia’s top oil and gas firm. Read more here.
Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP is backing California-based private E&P company Black Knight Energy LLC. Led by Todd Stevens, formerly the head of California Resources Corp., Black Knight was formed to pursue the acquisition and development of “large, cash flowing oil and natural gas assets across the Lower 48.” Read more here.
Nucore Group opened new offices in Dundee, Scotland, to support its ongoing company growth and diversification. From its base at Prospect 11, Gemini Crescent, in Dundee’s Technology Park, it will deliver a range of services including heating, ventilation and air condition, refrigeration, fire, safety and security solutions. It is currently finalizing plans for a third U.K. office in Northeast England to service the renewables sector and will increase its global presence by targeting further opportunities in the renewables sector in Australia and Africa.
