Northwest Oil & Gas Exploration LLC was founded in 2010 by Kevin Burshears. In 2012, David Burshears and Charles Burshears joined the company. In 2013, Chad Hunt joined the company as a petroleum engineer and, in 2015, became a partner. Northwest has expanded its business, and currently has offices located in Fort Worth, Texas and Oklahoma City.
Since its inception, the company has purchased more than 25,000 net mineral acres primarily in Oklahoma and to a lesser extent, East Texas and Kansas. In addition, Northwest has leased more than 25,000 net acres and participated in hundreds of wells with top-tier operators. Northwest is actively expanding its mineral inventory.

An affiliate of Northwest Oil & Gas Exploration retained RedOaks Energy Advisors for the sale of cash flowing minerals across seven Oklahoma counties in an offering closing Aug. 29.
