Strike Energy has upgraded their recent gas discovery in Wagina Sandstone where they are drilling ahead to a deeper target at #2-West Erregulla in permit area EP 469, Western Australia. Analysis of log data has indicated an improved net reservoir to at least 10.2 m with porosities up to 14%. The venture also encountered a 5-m gas-bearing Wagina Sands. The planned depth is 5,200 m. Adelaide-based Strike is the operator of #2-West Erregulla and its Block EP469 with 50% interest in partnership with Warrego holding the remaining 50%.
