Longs Peak Resources LLC, based in Denver, has been granted drilling permits for six horizontal Niobrara/Codell exploratory tests on a common drillpad in Weld County, Colo. The Denver-Julesberg Basin horizontal projects will be drilled from a multi-well pad in Section 20-11n-65w on the company’s Sangre De Cristo East leases. They will extend about 3 miles northward to bottom-hole locations in Section 8-11n-65w .Three of the wells will be drilled in Niobrara and the other three will be drilled in Codell. Measured total depths range up to about 24,212 ft. True vertical depths are 8,216 ft for the Niobrara projects and 8,360 ft for the Codell projects.
