Tulsa-based Samson Energy has scheduled another directional test in Chambers County (RRC Dist. 3), Texas. The #1 Wiggins Gas Unit has a planned depth of 14,500 ft and is on a 131-acre Upper Texas Coast lease in Section 75, T&NO RR Co Survey, A-248. According to IHS, the permit includes a wildcat objective and will likely be placed in Angelina Field. In 2014, Samson permitted #1 Finch Family Trust, which offsets #1 Wiggins. In 2015, the operator amended plans to drill the directional 14,500-ft test in Angelina Field, opting instead to include an objective in Ora Field in addition to a wildcat objective.
