Description
Golden, Colo.-based Samson Exploration confirmed a horizontal Codell discovery with the completion of two extended-reach horizontal Codell producers drilled from a pad in Section21-15n-65w, Laramie County, Wyo. The #1609 12NH Lasso initially produced 1.166 Mbbl of oil, 495 Mcf of gas and 996 bbl of water daily. Production is from a lateral drilled northward to 19,334 ft (8,617 ft true vertical) with a bottom-hole location in Section 9-15n-65w. It was tested on a 36/64-in. choke after 42-stage fracturing between 9,449 and 19,061 ft. The #2128 12SH Lasso flowed 1.062 Mbbl of 35.9-degree-gravity oil, 644 Mcf of gas and 1.223 Mbbl of water per day. It was tested on a 46/64-in. choke after a 42-stage fracturing between 9,204 and 18,751 ft. The lateral was drilled to the south to 19,001 ft, 8,632 ft true vertical, and it bottomed in Section 28.
