ConocoPhillips received a drilling permit for an offshore Norway wildcat well #6507/5-10 S in production license PL 891. The license area consists of parts of Blocks 6507/5, 6 and 8. This is the first exploration well to be drilled in the license and will be drilled from the Leiv Eiriksson drilling facility after completing wildcat well #6507/4-1 for the Houston-based company in production license PL 1009. ConocoPhillips is the operator with an ownership interest of 80% with partner Pandion Energy (20%).
