Pogo Producing Co., Houston, (NYSE: PPP) has retained Goldman, Sachs & Co. and TD Securities Inc. to seek strategic alternatives for the company, including a possible sale of some or all of the company. Pogo has assets on 12.6 million acres in the United States (primarily the Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Coast), Canada, New Zealand and Vietnam. Production is 292.3 million cubic feet of gas and 29,943 barrels of oil and condensate per day. Proved reserves are 2.2 trillion cubic feet equivalent.
