Bought gas assets in Jonah and Lookout Wash fields in WY Green River Basin.

Samson Oil & Gas Ltd., Denver and Perth, (NYSE Amex; Australia: SSN) has closed its sale of gas assets in the Jonah and Lookout Wash fields in the greater Green River Basin, Wyoming, for $6.3 million to a group of private buyers.

Samson will focus on developing its two oil plays, the Bakken formation in North Dakota and the Niobrara formation in Wyoming. The proceeds will be used to buy debt. The effective date is January 1, 2011.
