To buy gas properties in west-central AB complimenting its Ram River gas plant, gaining 65 MMcf/d, 37 MMBOE proved, 11.7 MMBOE probable.

Husky Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: HSE) plans to acquire gas properties in west-central Alberta complementing its gas plant in Ram River from an undisclosed seller. Financial terms of the planned transaction have not been disclosed.

Proved reserves associated with the acquisition total 37 million barrels of oil equivalent, with probable reserves of 11.7 million barrels.

The assets also include more than 65 million cubic feet of gas per day in production, as well as 160,000 acres of land, doubling Husky's holdings in the region.

According to Husky, its Ram River plant processes a significant portion of the production being acquired.

Closing is expected in fall of this year.
