To acquire 246 acres in Pickett County, TN.

Treaty Energy Corp., Houston, (OTCBB: TECO) has closed its acquisition of five oil and gas leases in Pickett County, Tennessee, from an undisclosed seller. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The 246-acre acquisition includes two shut-in wells and 25 new drilling locations. The Byron Hill #1, H. Groce #1-2, Coleman Crouch #4 and Wilburn Hill leases are in the Moodyville area.

Treaty plans to re-enter the wells in May. The company says initial production will be high before settling to pre-shut-in rates of eight to 10 barrels of oil per day.

The first new well is expected to be drilled in June.
