Joint venture

Gazprom Neft, a subsidiary of Gazprom, Moscow, (London: OGZD) and Chevron Neftegaz, a Russian subsidiary of Chevron Corp., San Ramon, Calif., (NYSE: CVX) have formed joint-venture company Northern Taiga Neftegas Ltd. to combine and develop oil fields in the Yamalo-Nenets region of Russia. Gazprom Neft will control more than 50% of Northern Taiga, and currently holds 30% of the joint venture.
