Arawak Energy Corp., Anguilla, British West Indies, has acquired the East Zharkamys III exploration block in the Aktyubinsk Oblast of western Kazakhstan from Russia-based Agrostimul LLP for an undisclosed price. The 1,845-square-acre block is in the PreCaspian Basin, about 80 kilometers southwest of Arawak's Akzhar Field.
