Canadian Imperial Venture Corp., St. John's, Newfoundland, (Toronto Venture: CQV) has acquired an additional one half of 1% interest in EL-1070, which contains the Shoal Point and Lourdes prospects in Newfoundland, under a second partial surrender agreement between Calgary-based Shoal Point Energy Ltd. and Canadian Imperial. Canadian IVC now has total 22.5% working interest in EL-1070.
