Acquired 20% WI in Surumana and Mandar blocks in Makassar Strait offshore Indonesia.

Malaysia's state oil firm Petronas has acquired a 20% interest in two offshore exploration blocks in Indonesia from ExxonMobil, Irving, Texas, (NYSE: XOM) for an undisclosed price, according to a Reuter's report. ExxonMobil is operator of Surumana and Mandar blocks in the Makassar Strait. ExxonMobil holds an 80% stake in both Surumana and Mandar blocks. Indonesia awarded ExxonMobil the rights in Surumana block in 2006 and the Mandar block in 2007.
