White Cliffs Pipeline LLC (WCPL), a partially owned subsidiary of Rose Rock Midstream, announced open seasons on its existing pipeline capacity and on a new pipeline the company is considering from the Denver-Julesburg Basin to the Cushing, Okla., pipeline hub.
The binding open season on its existing capacity is for 40,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) of crude oil transportation capacity from its origination station near Platteville, Colo., to Cushing. WCPL expanded its capacity on the pipeline by about 80,000 bbl/d and held a previous open season for the added volume. This open season is for the remaining volume added during the expansion. It began on Aug. 15 and closes on Sept. 5 at 5 p.m. CDT.
WCPL is also considering a new pipeline with the possibility of multiple origin points in the DJ Basin and which would be capable of handling multiple grades of crude oil. The company is holding a non-binding open season to gauge interest in the pipeline. It also opened on Aug. 15 and closes on Sept. 5 at 5 p.m. CDT.
