Total has completed the flare-out of the Ofon Field on Oil Mining Lease (OML) 102 offshore Nigeria, a news release said.
The associated gas of the Ofon Field is now being compressed, evacuated to shore and monetized via Nigeria LNG.
The flare out represents a 10% reduction in the group’s E&P flaring, Guy Maurice, senior vice president Africa at Total E&P, said in the release.
