TGS has announced a new multiclient 3-D survey offshore Eastern Canada, with plans to acquire about 6,000 sq km of seismic data, the company said in a news release. This survey is in partnership with PGS.
The survey will be acquired utilizing the PGS GeoStreamer technology in Eastern Newfoundland Orphan Basin and South Labrador. Data acquisition will commence during summer 2015, the release said. Pre-processing of the initial GeoStreamer signal will be performed by PGS. TGS will perform data processing with final data available to clients mid-2016.
The 3-D project will be TGS’ first in this region, according to the release.
