Tall City Exploration LLC appointed Michael Marziani as its CFO, the company said April 16.
“Michael’s strategic business and financial acumen, discipline and leadership is instrumental to Tall City’s long-term growth,” said Mike Oestmann, CEO.
“We are thrilled to have Michael join our team to help ensure our company’s continued success,” he added.
Most recently, Marziani was a principal at Greenhill & Co. in Houston, Tall City said. He was an investment banker for five years at Merrill Lynch's Global Energy & Power group, and also worked for BP Plc (NYSE: BP) in petroleum and reservoir engineering, the company said.
“Tall City is a high growth Permian-focused E&P company with a premiere asset base and an established and well-regarded management team. This is an exciting opportunity for me,” Marziani said.
Marziani added, “I look forward to supporting Tall City’s continued growth.”
Marziani holds a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering from Rice University, the company said. He also holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, the company added.
Midland, Texas-based Tall City Exploration LLC acquires, explores and develops oil and natural gas in the West Texas Permian Basin.
