The board of directors of Dominion Midstream GP LLC appointed Harris H. Simmons as its new director, increasing the board to six members, according to an Oct. 21 press release.
Simmons is chairman and CEO of Salt Lake City-based Zions Bancorporation, where he has worked for more than 35 years. He became Zions’ CEO in 1990 and chairman in 1992.
Previously, Simmons was lead director on Questar Corp.’s board of directors until its merger with Dominion Resources Inc. He has also been on the boards of O.C. Tanner Co. and National Life Group, and several boards in Salt Lake City.
Simmons earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and a master’s of business administration degree from Harvard Business School.
Dominion Midstream, the general partner of Dominion Midstream Partners LP, is based in Richmond, Va.
