Anadarko and its partners are still working on LNG sales from the Anadarko-operated deepwater Offshore Area 1 in Mozambique.
Work is still ongoing to define a plan of development for the giant Prosperidade field there: So far project partners have reached multiple non-binding Heads of Agreement (HOAs) for long-term LNG sales to buyers in Asian markets covering approximately two-thirds of the first 5 MM tonne per annum LNG train. A first LNG cargo is scheduled for delivery in 2018.
Front End Engineering and Design for offshore gas gathering infrastructure – platforms and pipelines – is completed and FEED for a liquefaction plant is on schedule, the US company reports.
Anadarko operates Offshore Area 1 in Mozambique and its partner Eni operates Offshore Area 4. Gas from both areas will be piped into the planned Mozambique LNG facility.
