Rosneft discovered a new field in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the company said. The geological reserves of the Anastasyinskoye field of C1+C2 category in the amount of 0.6 million tons were recommended by The State Commission on Reserves for state registration.
The Anastasyinskoye field was discovered by drilling two exploration wells in the West Kungak licence area.
The success of the prospect and exploratory drilling was ensured with application of advanced methods of seismic and geophysical activities.
The new field exploration is supposed to be performed by using the existing infrastructure of the Biavash oil field.
The company expects further fields to be discovered in Bashkiria in 2017.
