The capacity on its Cactus Pipeline will be expanded to about 390,000 barrels per day (Mbbl/d) of oil in Texas, Plains All American Pipeline LP said Jan. 18.
Manifold and metering enhancements at the origination point will be part of the expansion, and will likely be completed by third-quarter 2017.
The 310-mile pipeline carries Permian Basin crude to the PAA/Enterprise Products Partners Eagle Ford Joint Venture Pipeline, from McCamey, Texas, to Gardendale, Texas.
The Eagle Ford JV Pipeline can carry 660 Mbbl/d to the Three Rivers and Corpus Christi, Texas, markets. It can also supply the Houston market through a connection on the Enterprise South Texas Crude Oil Pipeline.
