The Petroleum Equipment & Services Association (PESA) has named Ryan Bowley as the group’s vice president, operations and external affairs, according to a news release.
Bowley was most recently director of government affairs with the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA), leading government affairs efforts for the national trade association of small business owners in the trucking industry, the release said.
His career includes working 12 years in Washington, D.C., where he advised two members of the U.S. House and served as an advocate on freight, environmental, energy, and hazardous materials issues before Congress and the Executive Branch for trade associations, corporations and other organizations, PESA said in the release.
PESA also said Molly Smart has become vice president, communications and member relations. Smart has served as PESA's director of communications since 2013 and led PESA’s recent rebranding.
Prior to joining PESA, Smart provided private PR consulting services across multiple industries and held senior positions with the Girl Scouts of Southern Alabama, the release said. In these roles, she won regional and national awards for publications and marketing campaigns.
