Petrobras is preparing to shed more assets, saying July 28 that it has started the divestment opportunity disclosure phase for the sale of its exploration, development in production rights 30 shallow-water concessions
The concessions are located offshore the states of Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. They are located in the Campos, Ceará, Potiguar, Santos and Sergipe-Alagoas basins.
In the disclosure Petrobras said its stake in the average production of oil and gas from the fields was 73,000 boe/d in first-half 2017. The state-owned company is the operator for most of the concessions, holding a 100% stake. Petrobras holds operatorship and a 65% stake in the Pescada and Arabaiana concessions.
“The effective inclusion of the Pescada and Arabaiana concessions in the divestment opportunity for Rio Grande do Norte Mar Cluster is subject to whether or not partner Ouro Preto Óleo e Gás, who holds the remaining 35% stake in these fields, exercises its preference right,” Petrobras said.
