Lilis Energy Inc. appointed Joe Pawelek as vice president of corporate finance and investor relations, the company said Aug. 11.
Most recently, since 2012, Pawelek was associate and head of business development at Brushy Resources Inc. He has handled finance, financial reporting, reserve and capital budget preparation and assessment, and M&A and valuation. Previously, Pawelek played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL as a linebacker, Lilis said.
Pawelek earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree from Baylor University and a master’s of business administration degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
CorProminence LLC was retained as its investor relations firm, the company added. CorProminence will expand strategic market awareness and support shareholder communications for Lilis Energy, which is based in Denver.
