Pacific Hunt acquired Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise’s approval to award 2-D Land Seismic Survey contracts for Myanmar PSC Block H and PSC Block C-1 to BGP Inc. China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC).
The seismic land survey contracts for both blocks total over 465 line-km in length and are scheduled to commence in the fourth-quarter of 2017.
“We are pleased to award the tenders to BGP Inc., CNPC who has scored the highest in both of our technical and HSE evaluation,” said Pacific Hunt Energy Managing Director Mr. Grant Petersen.
“BGP Inc. CNPC is a leading geophysical service company with experience operating in terrains similar to our blocks and we are confident that they will be able to complete the seismic surveys successfully in the upcoming dry season,” Petersen said.

In addition to the seismic surveys, Pacific Hunt Energy has also commenced preparation for its 2018 and 2019 drilling campaigns in the PSC Blocks.
