MicroSeismic Inc. and PanAmerican Geophysical Co. Ltd. have entered a partnership to jointly provide microseismic monitoring services in select geographical areas, according to a news release.
The partnership will initially focus on Latin America and Canada with subsequent expansion planned for other international locations. The joint services will combine PanAmerican’s surface seismic capacity and expertise with MicroSeismic’s hydraulic fracture monitoring and completions evaluation and optimization services, the release said.
Under the terms of the agreement, MicroSeismic’s PSET and completions optimization technologies will be utilized as an integral part of the processing and interpretation services provided. Both FracStar and BuriedArray installations will be deployed and operated using PanAmerican’s acquisition services.
