Lukoil has started commercial production at the Pyakyakhinskoye oil and gas condensate field in the Yamal-Nenets Autononous District in West Siberia, the company said Oct. 25 in a news release.
According to the release, 107 wells have been drilled at the field. These include 72 oil wells and 31 gas wells. Currently, 36 oil wells are in production with an overall daily flow rate exceeding 20,000 barrels. Crude oil is transported via the Zapolyarye-Purpe pipeline.
Lukoil plans to start-up gas production at the field later in 2016. Marketable gas from the field will be transported via a trunk pipeline to a gas-compressor station near the Nakhodkinskoye Field and then to the Yamburgskaya gas-compressor station, the company said.
Plans are for 1.5 million tons of crude oil and gas condensate and 3 billion cubic meters of natural gas to be produced in the field in 2017, Lukoil said in the release.
The construction and development phase started in 2014.
