Pennsylvania-based The Linde Group added a petrochemical plant business unit to its engineering division offices in Houston, Texas. The new regional unit will offer service on a range of projects including consulting and technical support, revamp and expansion studies and engineering, procurement and construction execution of mid-size projects.
The unit will also offer services in execution of large-scale projects such as the ExxonMobil ethylene plant at the Baytown complex. The Linde-Bechtel consortium announced its receipt of authorization to begin construction of the plant in May. Linde Engineering’s services focus on olefins as well as production of polyethylene and polypropylene.
