Daniel Lewis resigned from the board of directors at Bellatrix Exploration Ltd., effective immediately, the company said Feb. 10.
His resignation comes after Orange Capital LLC said it intends to close its investment fund in Bellatrix. As managing partner of Orange Capital, Lewis decided resigning from Bellatrix’s board will ease the handling of Orange Capital’s investment.
Lewis said he has actively discussed Orange Capital’s investment in Bellatrix, and that no decision has been made regarding it.
Bellatrix Exploration Ltd. is based in Calgary, Alberta, and operates in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
