JKX Oil & Gas Plc has been awarded a further five-year term to its Zaplavskoye exploration license by the Ukrainian authorities, a press release said.
The Zaplavskoye license surrounds four of the company's adjoining production licenses in Poltava on their western, southern and eastern sides. An area to the south of the license has been relinquished, while an area to the west of the license has been added. The license area now totals 173 sq km (67 sq miles) and is valid until Dec. 31, 2019.
