Halliburton Co. (NYSE: HAL) appointed Jeff Miller as president, the company said July 21. Miller also was appointed to the board of directors, the company added.
Miller, currently the executive vice president and COO, will assume the new roles August 1, Halliburton said.
Miller has been executive vice president and COO since 2012, the company said, noting that since beginning his career there in 1997, he has held “various” senior management roles.
“I have known and worked with Jeff for over 25 years and am absolutely confident he will excel in his new role,” said Dave Lesar, the chairman and CEO.
“Jeff is a proven leader who will continue to help guide the strategic direction of Halliburton to assure superior service to our customers and robust returns to our shareholders. In my continuing role as chairman and CEO, I look forward to working with Jeff for the next several years,” he added.
Miller has a bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University and an MBA from Texas A&M University, the company said. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the Texas A&M University Dwight Look College of Engineering Advisory Council, the company added.
Halliburton Co. is a multinational oilfield services company based in Houston.
