Singapore-based Greatship Global Energy Services Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Greatship (India) Ltd. (GIL), took delivery of a mobile offshore self-elevating drilling jackup, the company said in a March 3 statement. Le Tourneau Super 116 (E)—Greatdrill Chaaru (350' ILC) is an independent leg cantilever-type jackup rig with a 15,000 pounds per square inch pressure rating, designed to operate in water depths of up to 350 feet. Greatship Global took delivery from Lamprell Energy Ltd., United Arab Emirates.

With the delivery of Greatdrill Chaaru, GIL and its subsidiaries own and operate five platform support vessels, nine anchor handling tug supply vessels, two multi-purpose supply and support vessels, six remotely-operated vehicles support vessels and four jackups.

GIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of India-based The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd.
