Tri-Point LLC, a portfolio company of privatey equity firm First Reserve, said Dec. 5 it acquired three oil and gas service companies that will provide the company with access to some of the most prolific U.S. shale plays.
Houston-based Tri-Point purchased Leed Fabrication Services, Streamline Production Systems and Superior Fabrication for an undisclosed amount. The three companies have strong market positions within their regions, including the Anadarko, Denver-Julesburg, Permian and Eagle Ford basins, according to the release.
The three acquired company's equipment and service offerings consist of:
- Based in Brighton, Colo., Leed manufactures a wide range of wellhead production equipment and emission control devices as well as providing complementary field services and technical support;
- Streamline, based in Kountze, Texas, provides engineered solutions for production and related equipment, including custom production equipment solutions and fully engineered modular production systems; and
- Superior is based in Elk City, Okla., and specializes in the manufacture of oil and gas production and processing equipment for upstream, midstream and downstream customers.
Tri-Point brings together high-performing, complementary products and services with national-scale infrastructure, centered on oil and gas production and process equipment and services, the release said. The company was co-founded by Britt Schmidt and David Lucke, experienced oil and gas executives.
