The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of a contained fire at a saltwater disposal well in Dunn County, N.D., about 13 miles south of Killdeer, the division said April 25.
QC Environmental Services Inc. reported April 24 that lightning struck the tank battery at the Master Enterprises 1 disposal site, causing 640 barrels of oil and 640 barrels of saltwater to burn.
A state inspector has been to the location.
