Norway’s Farstad Shipping has won two charters worth a combined US $186 million from Petrobras. The vessel owner said Petrobras contracted the inspection maintenance and repair (IMR) vessel Far Saga for six years, with six years’ options. The Far Saga will be upgraded with a new, larger crane before departing the North Sea next month for Brazilian waters. The vessel will provide Remotely Operated Vehicle support and other subsea-related activities under the contract. Petrobras also extended the contract for the Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel Far Sea for another four years, beginning in November.
