SAN ANTONIO—EPIC Midstream Holdings LP announced July 29 that Brian Freed has been appointed president of the company. Freed will report to Phillip Mezey, the company’s CEO.
“We are pleased to announce that Brian has joined EPIC as president,” said Mezey. “EPIC will benefit from his record of creating shareholder value across the energy space and his proven leadership abilities. We look forward to working together to execute on our strategic vision for the company.”
Freed has more than 21 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has held senior leadership positions with Apache Corp., Crestwood Equity Partners LP, Inergy Midstream LP, Energy Solutions International and Entessa Inc., which Freed founded and led as its president, CEO and chairman until it merged with Energy Solutions International in 2010.
Freed graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science degree in finance from West Virginia University and served with honor and distinction as a field artillery officer in the United States Army, achieving the rank of captain. He is one of the inaugural inductees into the Army ROTC Hall of Fame.
