Michael A. Yuffee, an energy regulatory and enforcement lawyer, joined the Washington, D.C., office of Norton Rose Fulbright as a partner.
He joined Norton Rose from Reed Smith LLP, and focuses on energy and commodities regulatory, enforcement defense, compliance and transactional matters.
Yuffee’s clients include global commodities trading houses, financial institutions, wholesale power suppliers and integrated energy companies, for which he develops regulatory compliance programs.
He has represented clients in regulatory proceedings and investigation matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
Previously, Yuffee was an attorney and adviser in FERC’s Office of Administrative Law Judges and Dispute Resolution. He assisted in electricity and natural gas rate proceedings, mergers and utility restructuring.
Yuffee is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and his law degree from the Washington University School of Law.
