Energistics appointed Jana Schey its vice president, operations, the company said Jan. 9. She leads the company’s effort to attain certified standards development organization (SDO), the company said. The SDO status will be made with “selected global standards bodies,” the company said.
Schey’s new duties began Jan. 1, the company added.
“Jana has done an outstanding job leading and facilitating our standards development process over the past six years,” said Jerry Hubbard, president and CEO, adding “Her management skills, combined with her ability to fairly balance competing interests and focus on collaboration, make Jana the perfect choice to oversee our operations.”
Previously, Schey was Energistics’ senior director of operations, as well as director of project planning and management, the company said.
Schey has worked in the oil and gas industry for 13 years. Prior to joining Energistics, she worked with eProcurement standards and catalog management, the company said.
“I am looking forward to expanding my role and continuing to bring value to Energistics and our members,” Schey said. "One of the most gratifying aspects of Energistics is the opportunity to work with dedicated and knowledgeable professionals from our member companies and to ensure that they have the support required to collaboratively develop our open data exchange standards,” she added.
Schey has a BA degree from Queen’s University-Ontario. She also has an MA degree from the State University of New York-Brockport.
Energistics is a non-profit upstream oil and gas standards consortium. It is based in Sugar Land, Texas.
