Winston & Strawn LLP on Jan. 17 announced the addition of Douglas Atnipp to the firm’s Transactions Department in Houston. Atnipp joins Winston from Greenberg Traurig LLP, where he served as co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Houston office and co-chair of the energy practice group.

Atnipp’s practice involves a wide range of energy-related transactions including energy finance, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and acquisitions and dispositions of energy related assets. In addition to his energy work, he regularly advises clients on general corporate and finance transactions.
Atnipp is listed in the 2003-2017 editions of The Best Lawyers in America, Natural Resources Law section, and has been consistently selected by Texas Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2003. He is also recognized in Chambers Global and The Legal 500.
He received his JD from Texas Tech University School of Law and BA cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.
