Dos Aguilas Pipeline LLC completed an open season on the Dos Aguilas fuel transportation project, and will proceed with the project as planned, parent company Howard Midstream Energy Partners LLC said May 24.
The Dos Aguilas project is an open access system of refined products terminals and pipelines spanning from Corpus Christi, Texas, to northern Mexico. Pending all government approvals, the project is on schedule to be in service the first half of 2018.
Gasoline, ultra-low sulfur diesel and jet fuel from the Corpus Christi refinery complex will go to Laredo, Texas, and on to northern Mexico markets through deliveries to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
The materials will travel through four pipelines:
· Border Express Pipeline, originating in Corpus Christi and delivering to Laredo;
· Borrego Pipeline, originating in Laredo and terminating at the U.S. side of the International Border Crossing;
· Poliducto Frontera Pipeline, originating at Mexico’s side of the International Border Crossing and delivering to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas; and
· Poliducto del Norte Pipeline, originating in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, and delivering to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
