Pegasus International in Aberdeen has announced that it has been awarded the contract for the provision of consultancy services to ONGC for the development of the Deepwater Vashishta and S1 fields off the East Coast of India.
The 6 MMSCMD gas field (plus additional 4MMSCMD future capacity) will be developed utilising a number of subsea wells tied back to a new build onshore terminal via twin export pipelines.
The consultancy scope will be carried out in three phases comprising:
• Concept evaluation and development
• Front end engineering and EPC tender preparation through to award
• Review of design engineering carried out by the various EPC contractors and technical support to ONGC through to first gas.
The consultancy scope covers subsea infrastructure, well engineering and the onshore terminal, including pipeline flow assurance and terminal process engineering.
Pegasus UK managing director Peter Ralston stated, “We are truly delighted to have been awarded this project against very tough international competition. It is a significant international project, located in deepwater, in a clearly emerging market and technically very challenging, yet we can support the work primarily from our Aberdeen operation, using the skills we have developed over the last twenty years”.
The Pegasus contract value is in excess of ten million dollars.
