Breitling Energy Corp.’s (OTC: BECC) board of directors appointed Judson F. Hoover as its chief financial officer, the company said Feb. 4.
Hoover has more than 20 years of national and international experience in executive management, the company added. Of those years, 10 were in oil and natural gas, and 22 were with publicly traded companies, Breitling said. Hoover has experience in financial matters, mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, public company compliance, oil and gas operations, and real estate, Breitling added.
From December 2004-March 2007, he was chief financial officer for Ness Energy International Inc. (OTC: NESS), an oil and gas company operating in Texas and Israel. From June 2007-June 2009, he was Controller for Union Drilling Inc. (Nasdaq: UDRL).
"Mr. Hoover is a great addition to our core management team and will assist us in reaching our financial goals and targets," said Chris Faulkner, CEO. Faulkner added, "He has already demonstrated that he will be a very capable CFO for Breitling Energy."
Since Jan. 1, Hoover has been employed on an interim basis at Breitling, providing financial services, the company said.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Regis University and is a certified public accountant in Colorado, the company said.
Breitling Energy is an oil and natural gas E&P company that acquires and develops U.S. onshore oil and natural gas working and royalty interests. It is based in Dallas.
