BPMigas informed the public that it has given the green light for plans of development for eight oil and gas fields, according to The Jakarta Post.
The fields consist of China National Offshore Oil Corp.-operated Vita Laras field, Pertamina EP-operated Karang Luhur field, Chevron Pacific Indonesia-operated Petapahan and Duri fields, Pertamina EP-operated Pondok Berkah field, Petronas-operated Kepodang field, PetroChina-operated North Klalin field and the North Central Java field, claimed The Jakarta Post.
Every field will commence production this year, excluding the Kepodang field. Indonesia is expected to have an oil output on 13,270 barrels per day (b/d) and up to 580 million cu ft per day of gas, said The Jakarta Post.
