State agencies in New Mexico and North Dakota are offering acreage in lease auctions, according to EnergyNet, which has been retained to handle the sales.
Bidding for mineral acreage in New Mexico’s southeastern counties is underway.
North Dakota will also auction 52 tracts for lease, including acreage in McKenzie County, later this month.
Bidders can register and prequalify for bidding on EnergyNet’s website. Specific instructions and user guides for all government online lease sales are available online.

New Mexico
The New Mexico State Land Office is auctioning 15 tracts covering 3,894.11 net mineral acres.
The acreage is located in Chaves, Eddy, Lea, Roosevelt and Otero counties.
The auction closes at 9 a.m. CT Oct. 18.
North Dakota
The North Dakota Department of Trust Lands has 52 tracts consisting of 7,126.88 gross (5,795.97 net) acres available for lease.
The assets are located in Billings, Burke, Divide, Golden Valley, McKenzie and Mercer counties.
Bidding opens 10 a.m. CT Oct. 25, and will begin closing at 10 a.m. CT Nov. 1.
